A bit of a letdown
Battle of the Belts was touted as a significant event to kick off the new year. They created the expectation that all titles would be up for grabs. It was soon revealed that the show would only run for an hour, making it clear that this would not be the case. Instead, we were presented with 3 matches that didn't capture much interest. The Rhodes Guevara match, however, turned out to be a standout that surpassed expectations. The rest of the evening, including the rushed taping of dark, felt hastily put together. This was my 3rd live experience, and it was certainly the most disappointing. I've now realized that if a show isn't being broadcast live, it's likely not going to be very thrilling.
